It's All About MeMe!

The delightful, but rather tattered and battered Jimmy Bastard has tagged me for a meme.

Never having done one of these, but having read lots on others' blogs, I figure it can't be so hard, so here goes....

Firstly, the Rules. Such as they are...

1) Put the link of the person who tagged you on your blog
2) Write the rules
3) Mention 6 things or habits of no real importance about you
4) Tag 6 persons adding their links directly
5) Alert the persons that you tagged them

Okay....

#1: Every animal I have ever had the pleasure of sharing my life with has cost me a minimum of $1000... each. And I have had cats, dogs and (later) horses in my life since I was seven... I would have a hefty sum put away for retirement if I had been invested that money instead.

#2: I love to eat lemons.... straight out of their skins. Talk about puckering up!

#3: I like doing home renos. I have a pretty good selection of hand and power tools and know how to use them.

#4: I much prefer nursing animals over nursing people. (Let's see who runs with that one!)

#5: I love the throaty rumble of a pickup truck. If I could afford the gas, I would drive a nice Dodge Ram with a 5.7l Hemi engine... ya baby!

#6: I have sewn clothes... lots of clothes... including jeans, swimsuits, wedding gowns, winter coats and riding breeches. Would really like to get back into that again.

And to pass this meme on, here are the lucky recipients:

Donn
zIggI
Famulus
Eros
Scarlet
Tim

Have at her, guys!

  1. I've done this before a few times, but I'll gladly do it again; this will be number three, as I've two other tags I'm working on :)

You've got some pretty handy skills going on there...I can sew the buttons on my shirts if they come off.

  2. Thank you for the tag!!!
I slightly disturbed by the lemon thing... but with you in regard to the animals, both 1 and 4!!

  3. You wouldn't really have a hefty retirement fund if you'd invested the money. Looking at the current market I've lost 67% of mine so far.

Maybe stocks weren't the way to go afterall...

  4. Sucking lemons? Good grief, are you the person who eyes up the slice in my finished drink and asks if I'm going to use it? Well you're welcome to it.

  6. Good morning Ponita,

I did # 3 one summer during college and still retain some skills. Thought about getting a truck when I lived in Texas but I'm straight up city (I do like driving one though).

BTW...I'm glad to see that things are optimistic.

  9. Pony I am so bad at these I better just do it right here right now. I have about 76 applications in my inbox on Facebook. I am such a scatterbrain.

#1 I have outlived all of my pets..an accomplishment of which I am exceedingly proud.

#2 The phrase Go suck on a lemon is completely wasted on you...you must be awesome at dooing Tequila shots!

#3 I also enjoy renovations..it's not as much fun as the demolition part of the project but that is human nature. I had to rebuild a wall on my sunroom this past summer..I was like a whirling dervish with my sledge..it was so rewarding..and the rest of the house stood.

#4 I think that it is fair to say that most people prefer animals to people..because they have an excuse. I feel guilty about it..sometimes... but not enough to change.

#5 I've never been into cars or bikes..I did have a K5 Blazer back in the early 80s..it was pretty cool. I never did any "real" off-roading in it but makin' out under the stars was fun.

#6 I actually learned how to sew a little. My Mom did a lot of sewing and I was forever finding pins and needles with my feet. I still fix my own buttons and simple stuff. I wish that I could re-sew the scar on my lip that I got from stopping a puck with my mouth...maybe I could do a little lipo with the vacuum cleaner too? Hmm?

Sorry that I am so crappy at pluggin' memes...please forgive me :)

  10. Eros: I'll be waiting! You're a good sport.

Scarlet: Limes are more distrubing than lemons.... lemons have much sunnier dispositions. :-)

CyberPete: Perhaps I could have kept the money in a box under my bed. That way it would still be worth face value.... 67%???? Ouch!

EM: Thanks! *dips fingers in glass and fishes out lemon wedge*

zIggI: Can you sit at all, being as bruised up as you are?

The U: Around these parts, you don't have to be a country bumpkin to drive a truck.... lots of city folk do.

And thanks, yes, everything is optimistic and she's doing great!

    Leah: She's *your* daughter! :-)

Mutley: Why, thank you! Here, have a bone.

Donn, ya weiner! You could have just done this at your blog with the same effort.... *sigh*

Well, I would be good at Tequila shot... if I wasn't allergic to Tequila!

I drive a Chevy Blazer right now. That's my compromise between a real truck and a car. Smaller and better gas mileage but still higher off the road and I have 4x4! Which comes in mighty handy on the icy roads.

You could always have a plastic surgeon re-sew your lip. Or come see me and I will do it for you.... I can even get some local anaesthetic so you won't feel a thing.... trust me?!

You will have to make this up to me, you know that.... *stands with hands on hips*

  11. Jimmy: *smiles* I can too, honey... I can too!

  12. A hockey puck scar...how Canadian.

  13. Scarlet: Now reposted... there were technical difficulties earlier and then I had a meeting to go to, so also a time delay. Profuse apologies!

MJ: Another typical Canadian scar... tobogganing accident... I have a scar from putting a tooth through my lower lip from being blindsided by a kid on a toboggan... Now it is just a tiny 2 mm scar but it sure bled like a bugger when it happened! I was in grade on.

So you have something to say about all this, do you?
Well, let's hear it, then!
