    Hope the rescue went well.

  2. TOO adventuresome! I lured him down to within arm's reach by waving a little leafy branch. He's very attracted to anything that moves, and the windy day making the trees flap about really caught his eye. He's mighty quick, this one!

  3. LOL@TOO adventuresome! That seems to be the nature of cats, right? We had our own little rescue action here yesterday, but much, much easier. A little beagle wandered into our backyard because the gate was left open (not by me, so you know who was at fault). The MITM went out and picked him up, so we could check his collar and tags. I called the number on her tag and her owner said that their electronic fence had gone down and their 2 dogs had decided to "explore" while they could. LOL We played sitter to the friendliest beagle in the world until the sitter and her charge could walk over with a lead to pick up the pup. It was fun having a little dog for an hour, but NOT enough to hit the rescue center for our own dog! (damn this could have been a blog post!) xoxo

    1. Glad you had a happy puppy as a temp dog instead of a psycho puppy. Sometimes the escapees get scared in unfamiliar territory and are a nightmare to try and catch!

You're *sure* you don't want to go get a dog?? (Yeah, they are a lot of work, like having a toddler in the house, but can be so much fun! And good company.)

  4. Maybe he thought he was a flying squirrel. :) Thank heaven Bourbon hasn't learned to climb trees. Yet.

    1. He's not going out again until I have him trained to wear a harness. Trying to keep track of that whirling dervish is a bit too much!!! Hopefully Bourbon doesn't try to imitate a Treeing Walker Coonhound!

    1. Nope! It's harness training and a leash for that boy.

      Pff, that was enough now.

  6. When I have to give up Oscar, my insanely daft, beautiful, loving labrador, I swore never to fall in love with an animal again.

    1. I have no control over who my heart loves, and there seems to be an unlimited amount of space in it for many animals. Kind of like Doctor Who's police box. ;-)

  7. Canadian accent!!!!!! Your kitty is so cute.... didn't I see him in the fridge the other day, I think his sense of adventure is overdeveloped!

    1. I do have a Canadian accent, don't I? Of course, I *could* say I don't have an accent, but you do. ;-)

Frosti jumps in the fridge at any opportunity. He even tried it from the top of the fridge yesterday. I aborted his impending crash to the floor, as it wasn't easy to get a grip on anything. He is such a goof!

  8. I love the way you speak. When I was a little girl I was fascinated by a Canadian speaker on the wireless. He used to say " This is your philosopher talking to you and I dropped every thing to listen to him.
Your Puss is quite a handful. Lucky you can cope.

    1. Oh, thank you, Pat! It's funny how we can be attracted to a certain accent, isn't it? I myself love a Scottish accent.

Yes, Frosti is very much a handful! Sometimes, coping is putting him in a time out in the spare bedroom with the door closed. Then the girls and I can breathe a sigh of relief for a little while.

So you have something to say about all this, do you?
Well, let's hear it, then!
