Frosted
This was my universe this morning while out walking with the dog. Hoar frost on absolutely everything! All the trees, vehicles, houses... even the edges of every fence board were ruffled with spiky whiteness. Then, later in the afternoon, as the breeze picked up a touch, the air was full of sparkly fluffs falling to the ground.
It really is quite beautiful!
We had this last month, though only for a few days. Beautiful to look at, but the country came to a standstill!
ReplyDeleteI much prefer the sunnshine, which we get in Ireland on a wednesday in July! I can't wait for it!
Roll on the 2nd of May, which sees Map & Mrs & Helena off to Lanzarote, of the coast of Africa, for a week of Sunny Delights! :¬)

Oh so pretty! I would even be happy to put up with the cold for a couple of days just for the photo ops.
ReplyDeleteYep, as Mr Maps says, beautiful to look at but ruins the economy [the current Government excuse for the country going down the pan is our harsh winter].

That photograph is so lovely it takes my breath away.
ReplyDeleteOnce again I feel bad for wearing 2 shirts today. Nice effect on the pic.
ReplyDeleteCheers...
New York City was a winter wonderland, as well. I have pics to post. Eventually.
ReplyDeleteI had to Google hoar frost. Never heard of it before. Was hoping it was something filthy.
That is beautifully cool...which is nowhere near as ugly as how COLD that probably feels!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
It is beautiful. We had a hoar frost on Friday morning, and it was lovely...it was preceeding a huge blizzard, but still...:)
