Comparing facial hair

Lila met a moustache for the first time yesterday.

Lila was intrigued.

Why were there more whiskers on His face than hers?

Of course, she didn't take into account that she tends to break hers off in her daily cavortings about the house...

I thought she was going to grab it, but she restrained herself.

Of course, He had the smarts to turn His face away as she was up close and personal, eyeballing said facial hair.

Leaving home for good

It's (almost) a done deal...

The cheque is in the mail...

She signed on the dotted line...

Thunder is moving to Calgary soon. Probably by month's end. He'll be paid for in full by the 20th at the latest.

A woman saw him advertised on the internet and is buying him, based only on some photos and a video.

I've spoken to her at length, as has my girlfriend, the horse trainer, who takes horses for sale on consignment... where he's been listed with her for eleven freaking long months!

I'm so relieved that he's finally been sold. The financial burden has been tremendous.

And I am so sad that I am losing such a lovely creature... I've cried a number of times in the past few days, despite many months of disassociating myself from being a horse owner/rider.

But it is for the best for both of us. And I am sure she'd let me visit if I am out that way. (I do have a brother in Calgary, after all.)

I hope, I hope, I hope he'll be happy and well cared for. I hope. *sigh* *sniffle* *sob*

Just us girls

It's a girlie's world in my house now.

I can't say it's an estrogen charged one, because I am the only one producing any... Although all four of us are non-reproductive, I still have all my bits, whereas the rest have been relieved of theirs.

Which is a good thing.

One does not need a pair of yowling, slinky furred females attempting at all costs to bolt out the door, no matter what the weather, in search of a handsome young tom.

Or a gigantic mopey girl, dripping from both ends, furthering the demise of the carpeting in the house. Too bad they don't make puppy panties for the front end too.

And, as always, there is plenty of action in the house...

Well? Will they?

Will I ever quit being tired?

Will I ever catch up so that what comes in exceeds what goes out?

Will I ever get rid of the damn fleas without ripping out every square yard of carpet in the house?

Will the cold warm up to a more bearable cold, so that I can walk the dog without freezing my eyeballs off?

Will the need to work overtime ever go away?

Will I ever finish painting the doors in my bedroom?

Will things with the Land Baron ever get off to a start that will allow us to find out if it is meant to be something?

Will things ever get to the point of being comfortable without having to worry?

That's what I want to know...
