RIP

"Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.
Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.
Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice.
And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
They somehow already know what you truly want to become.
Everything else is secondary.”
~ Steve Jobs

  1. Sound advice. I've never felt any desire to own an Apple product, and despite nearly all my friends owning i-Phones/Pads etc I will continue to follow my own inner voice and live without them.

I'm sure Steve Jobs was a jolly good bloke though.

  3. Who can replace that guy? Nobody! This really is a sad passing.

The pic of the tree below = stunning. Can't wait until the same thing happens down here.

  4. Dave: I've no desire for things Apple either, but you have to admire the man's genius. He was bloody brilliant.

Scarlet: Words to live by, for sure. I "like" too.

UB: He was only three years older than me!

The tree pic is from a few years ago, but the colours are starting to come out here. Most of the trees just turn yellow, but some are lovely. It's not specatular like the East at all, though.

  5. A very sad day. Even though it was clear he was sick, I held out hope that he was so amazing, he'd figure out a way to cheat death.

What a loss. He was our Thomas Edison.

And I agree with Boxer: He was our Thomas Edison.

  7. I read those words today as I sat in my closet sized "temporary office"...it certainly made me contemplate life on a different level.

    Thanks for sharing.

  9. Fantastic words to live by.

I came across the footage of the Stamford address where the quotes are from. Very inspirational. And cheeky since he never finished college.

So you have something to say about all this, do you?
Well, let's hear it, then!
